Appointments

Call us during working hours and we will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open.

Emergency & Urgent/Critical Care

In case of emergency, try to call us before coming in. This will allow us to advice you over the phone, set up for your arrival, be ready to help caring your pet in from your car if needed, etc. A critical patient needing overnight care will need to be transferred to a 24 hour emergency clinic after our regular hours.

We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty during regular office hours who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet might have. Emergencies include ingestion of toxic substances, injuries, breathing difficulties, prolonged seizures etc.

We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening. If you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment, call us; we will assess your request and try to fit you in. When you arrive, our technician will triage your pet and will give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.

Wellness and Preventative Care

A comprehensive physical examination is an important tool in detecting early abnormalities and assuring a long and healthy life. This examination includes: Weight and vital signs gauging; Skin and hair-coat assessment; Eyes, ears and nose evaluation; Oral examination; Heart and lung auscultation; Bones, joints and muscles palpation; Abdomen and lymph nodes palpation. I addition, some pet may require anal gland expression and evaluation of lumps and bumps. This visit is an opportunity to raise any issue your pet might have.

During this wellness visit we will also assure that your pet is protected against common diseases and update vaccines as needed. In order to detect illnesses that cannot be discovered with a physical examination alone, we may collect blood and run essential blood tests.

There are two types of vaccines. The first is known as core-vaccine and should be administrated to every pet; it includes Rabies and Distemper. The second type of vaccine is given based on the pet’s life style and geographical place of living; it includes Lyme, Leptospirosis, Bordetella, Influenaza and FelV (in cats).

When you arrive at your appointment, we will provide you a clear information regarding your pet’s exact vaccinations’ needs. See “Wellness visit, Vaccinations and Lab-work Guideline” form, in “Patient Center”.

Diagnostics Tests

We have comprehensive diagnostic tests including:

  • In house laboratory for comprehensive blood, urine and fecal tests. This allows us to obtain results within 30 minutes.
  • External lab for wide range of tests.
  • Digital X-rays.
  • In house Ultrasound for comprehensive abdominal scanning.
  • Visiting specialist for cardiac Ultrasound.

Hospital Care for Sickness or Injury

Our hospital provides hospitalization for sick animals, however critically sick pets should be admitted to a 24/7 hospital. Out veterinarian will evaluate your pet’s condition and will advise as to the appropriate hospitalization option.

Hospitalized patients are attended by experienced staff and provided with IV fluids, injectable medications, close supervision and appropriate monitoring tests.

Dental Care and Procedures

The most cooperative pet may not allow home tooth brushing and dental care, leaving their teeth at risk for decay. We perform dental cleanings under anesthesia. When a tooth is cavitated or decayed, extraction may be performed. We require your permission before any extractions are done (see Surgery Consent form). Your pet won’t mind losing that infected tooth, they actually feel better and eat better once a bad tooth is gone. They also will have much better breath, which every pet owner appreciates!
